The MLK events in the valley and how/which AAPJ should participate in will be discussed at the upcoming Organizing Committee meeting on Sunday at 5pm at AIPER House. It will also be discussed at both the Events Committee and the Outreach Committee, both meeting at 3:30pm at AIPER, just prior to the Organizing Comittee meeting. Because of the limited time for planning, anyone who would like to help plan should show up...especially to the earlier meetings (since the committees report their work at the Organizing Committee meeting).

FYI -- previously sent message: Outreach and Organizing Committees:

This is just FYI. I am in the process of getting permission for AAPJ to have a booth in the City of Tempe's MLK celebration. There is no paperwork associated with participating in the "Unity Walk". The walk begins at 9am at four parks, and is over by 10am. I would like to suggest that AAPJ members that want to participte should begin to gather at 8:30am at Daley Park (on College just south of the rail road tracks). The Events Committee is working on gathering information about the other valley MLK events. We should have gathered information by Sunday's Organizing Committee meeting.
